Friday- I'm in love

Przyszedł właśnie jeden z moich najnowszych eBay-owych nabytków- botki G-Star Raw. Długo szukałam botków moich marzeń, chciałam, żeby były proste, ale z pazurem. W tych zakochałam się od pierwszego wejrzenia, wiedziałam, że muszą być moje. Podoba mi się ich surowość. Obcas jest wysoki, ale stabilny.

One of my latest eBay finds just came in- a pair of G-Star Raw ankle boots. I knew they had to be mine the moment I saw them and I was ready to fight for them! Now they're mine, mine;-). Aren't they fierce? Simple but with a twist to them. I absolutely love them.

Welcome back

Hey guys, I'm so sorry for the lack of posting, but both my husband and I are fighting the flu since we got back from the States. We are sleeping through most of the day. I will post the pictures form NYC soon, I promise. Today I managed to catch some daylight to take photos of the shoes I bought in the States, so I post them first, OK?


So here is what I've gotten myself on sales: the wine-colored croc patent sandals are from Liz Clairborne, purple flats with teal and magenta stripes from Restricted ( and so are nude patent flats). The high heeled booties are from Sigerson Morrison for Target, the color is more purplish in real life. I have to show you them on me, maybe it will be easier for you to see how they really look. The gray flats I bought at Gap, they are very well cushioned and comfy. I wear them withouth tights or socks on January 29th, it was that warm:-)

Then my most treasured find- Miu Miu sandals from Neiman Marcus, they were reduced from about 500 bucks:-)
The next pair - very simple, super comfy and sexy suede pumps from Calvin Klein.
Finally two pairs of sneakers, since my cat ate my favorite pair some time ago;-)
I also bought two pairs of Emu Bronte Hi, black and gray.They are so comfy and warm, I even run the test of wearing them without the socks in such a freezing weather we have in Poland at the moment, and they passed it without any problem.

Oh, I've just realized I forgot to take the pix of my Michael Kors bag earlier. I took them right now, but the light wasn't so good.

NYC wishlist

I'm really sorry for the lack of outfit posts, but when my photographer gets home it's too dark to think about taking pictures. But no outfit post doesn't have to mean no post at all.

In two weeks we'll be in one of my most beloved cities: NYC, right in its heart, Manhattan:

We'll do a lot of sightseeing, I'm sure there's a lot of places I haven't seen so far, a lot of things I want to see again. We're planning to take loads of pictures this time. And the big plan is to do a lot of shopping.

Finally!

Pisałam już o tym, między innymi w jesiennej liście życzeń, że mam bzika na punkcie sznurowanych trzewików. Już kiedyś kupiłam fajne snurowane botki na eBayu, ale niestety paczka nigdy do mnie nie dotarła. Długo szukałam innej pary, która by mi się podobała, ale wciąż nie było nic ciekawego, albo brakowało mojego rozmiaru, wreszcie cena mi nie odpowiadała. W końcu znalazłam te. Wysyłka kosztowała więcej niż buty, ale paczka dotarła bezpiecznie w kilka dni. Buty są firmy Dr. Scholl, miałam nadzieję, że to sprawi, że będą wygodne. I tak jest:-). Pomimo wysokiego obcasa chodzi się w nich super, w środku mają takie miękkie poduszki, które bardzo pomagają.

As you know I've become quite obsessed with the lace up ankle or mid calf boots. Some time ago I bought a nice pair on eBay, but unfortunately the package was lost. I've tried to find the other pair I like but couldn't find anything I'd like/in my size/in my price range. Finally I discovered this pair on eBay and decided to buy it. Thoe boots are from Dr. Scholl, which doesn't sound very cool, but I thought it may guarantee the comfort of wearing them. And I was absolutely right. The boots, despite a high heel, are very comfy, they have nice cushions inside, which makes walking in them much easier. That's what I wanted.

Moja lista życzeń skróciła się też o kamizelkę ze sztucznego futra. Udało mi się upolować taką w moich ulubionych szarościach.

I was lucky enough to find a faux fur vest, as well. This made my Fall wish list much shorter:-)

Na razie pokazuję tylko zakupy, ale na pewno już niedługo pochwalę się nimi na sobie.

A bit of shopping

I really, really don't want the Summer to end and still hope the weather will be nice & warm in Fall. But I stared to think about my Fall wardrobe, nevertheless. In the last few days I managed to find some pieces of clothing I thought will be necesssary. All of them are basics, I would say. I don't know if you agree with me, but the basics are the harderst to shop for. Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to come by, as the shops seem to be rather full of the trendiest things than the classic ones. And the other difficulty is of a completely different nature- basics usually don't shout to you "Come on, you have to take me home right now". They aren't funny. The're just the things you have to have in your wardrobe. That's why I'm so happy I found a few very nice sheer long sleeve T-shirts in Vero Moda-they were on sale and cost about 4 dollars a piece:-). I bought them in black, light gray and cream. I even managed to find white long sleeve burnout tee, yay:-). Those tees will be great for layering. They can be worn with anything from sweaters to blazers. I've been on a lookout for long cardis and so far I managed to find a nice one in dark gray. I also bought a classic black cardigan. I love cardigans, they are my favourite kind of sweater. They can be paired with anything. Since I've fallen in love with the Givenchy Fall collection so much, I wanted to find both the leather pants and the leather skirt ( O, the blessing of the second hand shops and Internet auctions!:-). The skirt is great, the pants will go the the tailor to be taken in a bit, since I would like them to be more skinny. I found gray ankle boots I really like. But I still wonder if the black lace-ups I bought on eBay will arrive at last. Unfortunately, I've already lost several packages in the last few months. That has never happened before. One of the packages contained knee high Minnetonkas:-(. I try not to lose hope and am still waiting for the lace-ups, they would be perfect for Fall. I'm still working to enlarge my rather small collection of scarves. I've never really worn scarves apart from those thock woolen ones in Winter, but now they seem like essential accessories to me. Luckily, I thrifted three new ones and I continue to search for more.

But Summer will stay with us for a little bit while, won't it? Please, please! How can it go away when I just found the pair of jeans so perfect to be made into cut-off shorts. I'm sure they will be my favourites, I've searched for ithem for so long;-). I still want to wear my short shorts!

I've just discovered the software PhotoScape, which has nice choice of options for making collages, that's my first try at using it. I hope I'll get the hang of it soon.
