Przepraszam za tak dluga przerwe, zrehabilituje sie:). Niedlugo wkleje zdjecia z wakacji na Karaibach, obiecuje. Tylko wciaz nie moge sie zdecydowac ktore, a uwierzcie, jest ich masa, a na wszystkich cudne kolory:). Dzis szybka sesja na balkonie, glownie zeby pokazac nowy kolor wlosow. Mialam nadzieje, ze ostre slonce na Antigui rozjasni mi wlosy, ale tak o dziwo sie nie stalo, wiec postanowilam pomoc w naturze. Jestem bardzo zadowolona z efektu, zwlaszcza ze tak ciemne wlosy jak moje ciezko lapia jasniejsze odcienie. Po raz pierwszy na blogu mam w uszach klipsy, ktore na dodatek sa tak sprytnie skonstruowane, ze wygladaja jak kolczyki. Zawsze mi sie podobaly zwisajace kolczyki i klipsy, ale do niedawna o te drugie bylo trudno, teraz na szczescie pojawilo sie ich troche na Allegro.

Na tunice wilk, jak zartuje, moje zwierze totemiczne:). Kocham wilki, to wspaniale zwierzeta. A do tego wilk to mityczny przodek Turków i Mongołów, a więc i Tatarów, których krew wg wszelkiego prawdopodobieństwa odziedziczyłam po litewskich przodkach:). Jezeli zrobie sobie w koncu tatuaz ( w NYC nie zdazylam, poza tym skora schodzila mi z plecow, bedzie to wlasnie wilk)

I'm really sorry for the lack of posting, I will do my best to make up for it:). Soon I will post some photos from our holidays in Antigua, but there are so many of them, I can't make up my mind which ones to show. So for now I'm gonna show you a few pix of my new, lighter hair color, I think it's perfect for the summer.
I love the tunic, it depicts my totem animal- a grey wolf. I love wolves, they are very beautiful, graceful and loyal. I have some Tatar blood in my veins, which I inherited from my Lithuanian ancestors. The Turkic people consider the grey wolf their mythical ancestor, so that's the right animal for me:). I wanted to get a wolf tattoo while in NYC, but there wasn't enough time, not to mention the skin peeled off my back, so I had to postpone it till the next time there, as I would like to get the ink done by the same guy who tattooed my sister.

Made for each other

Yay, the first outfit post in a long time, and I've got a lot of new clothes to show you. I've been looking for a winter coat for some time and I couldn't find anything I liked. Frankly, I wanted something rather classical in shape, but interesting in color. Instead, I found and fell in love at first sight with that one- it is black, as is most of my wardrobe, but I thought the coat and me were made for each other. You can't fight true love, can you? Just think about it- a coat styled after a motorcycle jacket? How could I not buy it?
I'm wearing three items I bought in the States: the red bag, Emus, and, last but not least, the dark object of my desire, ie faux leather skinnies. The inspiration for today's outfit was provided by Emmanuele Alt, with her love of military jackets.

In the sun

Pogoda dziś jest po prostu cudowna. Jest tak słonecznie i ciepło, że mogliśmy zjeść śniadanie na tarasie, co uwielbiam. Potem poszliśmy połazić po parku i zrobić małą sesję. Było tak gorąco, że musiałam zdjąć kurtkę, co mnie oczywiście nie zmartwiło. Swoją drogą większość ludzi na spacerze była ubrana dość ciepło i trochę dziwnie na mnie patrzyła. Super było móc powygrzewać się w słońcu, co po prostu uwielbiam, jak na kota przystało. Tęskniłam już za moimi ukochanymi szortami, więc stwierdziłam, że najwyższa pora znów je założyć, skoro pogoda pozwala. Kozaki-oficerki to jedne z moich naujulubieńszych butów, są super wygodne, uważam je za kozaki idealne. Upolowałam je w zeszłym roku za połowę ceny ( przecenione z 800 złotych:-)) akurat w momencie, kiedy zaczynałam tracić nadzieję na znalezienie prostych, pozbawionych wielu ozdób i wystarczająco wąskich w łydce oficerek.

Wow, the weather today is just wonderful. It's so sunny and warm, we even managed to have a breakfast on the terrace:-). Then we went to the park for a walk and to take some pictures. I had to take the jacket off at some point, because I was too hot! It was so nice to sit in the park and do what I love the most, which is to bask in the sun. I told you I was like a cat:-). I really missed my favorite cut-off shorts. The boots are just perfect, so comfortable. I found them on the sale last year, reduced 50% from like 400 $. By the time I came across them I was begginning to lose hope that such a great boots can be found at all;-)

When bloggers meet... and don't have a camera on them

To wczorajsza szybka sesyjka zrobiona przed wyjściem na spotkanie z Escritorą, przyjaciółką i od niedawna bloggerką. Niestety nie miałyśmy przy sobie aparatu, więc dokumentacji ze spotkania nie ma. Ale jak się okazało, obie pomyślałyśmy o tym, że trzeba by zrobić sobie wspólną sesję, więc prędzej czy później do takiej dojdzie:-). Pogoda była całkiem niezła, dość ciepła i słoneczna, więc wypróbowałam długi kardigan jako płaszcz. Spisał się nieźle, choć jak czekaliśmy o 10-tej na autobus, nieco już marzłam:-). Całość jest czarno-szara i prosta- podksozulek z długimi rękawami ( kupiony na wyprzedaży w Vero Modzie, mam jeszcze dwa inne kolory, to był super zakup), elastyczna spódniczka, również moja ulubiona. Do tego po raz pierwszy zakolanówki, myślę, że nie ostatni.
Kolory wyglądają nieco inaczej niż dotychczas, bo testowaliśmy inne ustawienia aparatu. Mam wrażenie, że do tej pory były za blade. Będziemy testować dalej.


That was a quick session before the meeting with my friend and fellow blogger Escritora . We didn't have the camera on us so there aren't any pictures from the meeting, but we talked about the need of a joint photoshoot. We have to do it some time soon:-). Yesterday it was rather nice and sunny so I decided not to wear very warm clothes. The long cardigan worked quite well as a coat, although I was a bit cold at 10 P.M., when we were waiting for a bus. The outfit is very simple- a longsleeve t-shirt, my favorite bandage skirt. It was the first time I wore over-the-knee socks, and I'm sure not the last one.
Yesterday's pictures look a bit different than the rest on the blog, we were trying the new camera settings, as I thought that the colors have looked rather faded so far. We'll be working on it.

I told ya

Nie możecie powiedzieć, ze was nie ostrzegałam. Nigdy nie mam dość czarnego i szarego, więc proszę- grają dziś główną rolę. Prawdę mówiąc, nigdy nie lubiłam grunge'u, zawsze uważałam, że że muzycy smęcą, a do tego wyglądają okropnie. No ale potem odkryłam Alexanda Wanga i zobaczyłam, że w tych ciuchach jednak jakiś potencjał jest. Więc kiedy na dnie szafy znalazłam tę czapę męża, która skojarzyła mi się z kolekcją Wanga stwierdziłam, że sobie ją przywłaszczę. Strój celowo jest tak prosty jak się dało- swetrowa sukienka z golfem, moja nowa "skóra", pokazywane już tu botki, tym razem już debiutują na nigach. Rozważałam paske, ale uznałam, że byłoby tego za dużo.


I have warned you before that I can never have enough of black and gray. There you go. The truth is, I never was into grunge, when it was so big. And I still really dislike Nirvana. I've always thought that the bands were whiny and that they looked slobby. Until I discovered Alexander Wang and saw that there is some potential in grunge-y clothes;-). Only this weekend I found my husband's beanie somewhere at the back of the closet and I decided I was gonna wear it. I wanted to keep this outfit as simple as possible. I'm wearing a knit dress, my new faux leather jacket, and the ankle boots I've shown a few posts below. I've actually worn them for the first time today. I have toyed with the idea of adding a belt to the outfit, but decided against it. Less is more.

Wszystko wskazuje na to, że lato jeszcze jakiś czas z nami zostanie, a ja jak ten kot zamierzam się nim cieszyć jak tylko się da. Trzeba ładować akumulatorki, potrzebuję słońca, żeby mieć dobry nastrój. We wczorajszym stroju nie ma nic przełomowego, ot, zestaw na gorący dzień, który dobrze spełnił swoją rolę. Nigdy nie noszę takich bluzek-chłopek (ok, mam dwie) z długimi spódnicami, czułabym się jak pastereczka z alpejskich hal. Szorty są OK, no i pozwalają złapać więcej słońca. Małżonek szanowny pogonił mnie pod górę, żeby zrobić zdjęcia w słońcu, było już późne popołudnie i na wzgórzu było najsłoneczniej. Ale nie byłam specjalnie przygotowana do takich spacerków, więc na drugim zdjęciu widać, jak sprawdzam stan butów:-). To co za mną widać to stok narciarski i saneczkowy.

Jak o letnie przyjemności chodzi, zamówiłam sobie ostatnio okularki do pływania ze szkłami korekcyjnymi. Jak będę coś widziała na basenie i pod wodą będę się czuła dużo pewniej i może odważę się popływać. Tak więc idziemy na basen jak tylko okularki do mnie dotrą.

Ok, so the Summer's decided to stay a little bit longer. I'm going to enjoy it and do my best to catch some rays while I can. Nothing groundbreaking about yesterday's outfit, it was just summery and good for a really hot day. I never pair the peasant top ( oh well, the lot of two I own) with the girly boho skirt. I'm not some yodeling Heidi. I always wear them with my jean short, that's the only way I like it.

My hubby made me climb this hill for the sake of the photo shoot, and I wasn't prepared for it, wearing the wedges, so in the second photo you can see me checking how the shoes were doing.
What you can see behind me is the artificial skiing slope and the sleigh track, really. Not the scenery you would connect with the Summer, but the meadow there was so sunny even in the afternoon, when we were shooting the session.
Speaking of Summer pleasures, I have ordered a swimming glasses with prescription lenses, yay. I will finally be able to see under the water. I'd feel my more secure. So we are going to the pool as soon as they arrive.

I'm working on my accent using "American Accent Training by Ann Cook". Now I know that since "blue jeans" became a set phrase and the image we all recognize, you got to stressed the word blue instead of jeans, as it was done in the times of Levi Strauss:-). The course is really fascinating:-)

Beach hair

Despite the clouds threathening with storm I'm bewitching Summer to stay a bit longer by wearing the shorts I wrote about last time. There's nothing better then distressed cut-offs. Especially when paired with the business-like blazer. I don't know if it was because of the weather or the combination, but the people were giving me looks today. Ok, their problem, not mine:-). I feel good dressed that way. I love wearing blazers, especially when they can be dressed down by combining them with jeans. I just don't like to wear blazers with business pants, that's so not me, but sometimes there's no choice:-).

You have already seen my other cat, the black and white one, now it's the time for the debut of the younger one:-). The blog title obliges:-)





Yesterday I was experimenting with my hair, trying to give them that toussled, messy beach look I love. You know, I'm sure that there was some terrible mistake upstairs. I was supposed to be born in southern California, to live close to the ocean and to enjoy sunshine all year round. I'm like a cat, I need sun to be happy. And the ocean really calmes me down and makes all the problems seem to dissapear. Hmm, maybe one day my dream will come true and we will be able to move to Cali. San Diego will be my city of choice, then:-)

So far all I could do was to try to recreate the look I wanted to have with what I've got on my hands. And it wasn't much, since there aren't any cosmetics available here in Poland, at least as far as I know, that could do that. I did a little bit of Internet research and that was what I've done: I washed my hair the usual way, then picked some strands and scrunched them, then pinned them down with hair clips. Then I blow-dried the hair a bit.

Meanwhile I prepared the mixture of a few teespoons of sea salt and a cup of hot water. I cooled the mixture down, then poured it to the spray bottle. I sprayed the hair a little with it, then reapeated it in the morning.
I know the effect would be much better if I had longer hair, but I like it anyway:-). Next time I will try to sleep with my hair pinned that way to get a stronger effect:-)

Wedding in the rain

Ok, so I've promised to write about the wedding we attended on Friday. We had to drive about six hours to get to our destination, but it was worth it. It was a very elegant and certainly the best dressed reception I've attented so far. The groom wore a tux and the bride very nice lace dress with long train and long veil , very Oleg Cassini-style. All of the guests were in cocktail wear. It's not so obvious here in Poland. We usually don't have a dress code stated in the invitations, and most guests are dressed in a random fashion- during one ceremony you can see a guest in formal wear, others in cocktail wear, some even in business attire. Anything in between overdressed and underdressed. A problem that might be solved by simply indicating the dress code on the invitation.
The ceremony took place in a very nice old church. The best thing was that during the ceremony a actual choir was singing. Everything went nice and smooth, until we looked outside and saw it was raining cats and dogs. And the bus which was supposed to take us to the reception was a few blocks away. We couldn't get a taxi without waiting for 35 minutes, so we decided to be brave and to run in the rain to the bus. And we did:-). We only had one umbrella for the four of us ( me, my hubby, and the friends of us) so it was decided that the girls are gonna take it, and the gents will pull their jackets over their heads:-). We got to the bus totally soaked, and I was devastated to find out that the paper in which the present was wrapped dyed my jacket in some places:-( So I was feeling rather down, when we got to the venue, which was a very posh golf and country club. But the reception was nice, and I managed to clean my jacket off the day after the wedding, after hours after hours of careful work with the bleach. I'm the mastah, yay.
BTW, the highlight of the wedding was the moment we found out a golf cart left unattended and we took it for the little joyride in complete darkness. It was real fun!
We didn't take our camera with us, so today we had to recreate what I wore:-). So please excuse my lack of make-up, the messy hair ( I'm going to the hairdresser's the day after tomorrow), and the print of the bra on my back;-). Of course I didn't wear a bra at the wedding.

I wore the dress over the jacket for modesty's sake to the church, and the dress itself to the reception. Because of all those sequins I decided not to wear any jewellery. The dress is in beige/nude, and the sequins are like mother-of-pearl, they shine in different colors, it depends on the light. I absolutely love my nude pumps. It was the first time I've worn them, and they were absolutely comfy. What a great find, and I 've found them by pure accident:-)

Granny boots

What happened to the summer? Somebody must have stolen it. There was even a twister here in Poland two days ago, when we went to the wedding ( but I will write about the wedding in the next post, I will recreate what I wore then, since we didn't take any pictures). I thought that the colder weather might be a good opportunity to wear my granny lace-up boots for thye very first time. They are wine-colored and have those oxford type decorations. I'm still waiting for a black pair of lace-ups I'd bought on eBay. I've been dreaming about this kind of boots for some time now, even before I discovered one of my absolute favourite bloggers- Starr from The New Black:-). She loves wearing the granny lace-ups with almost everything and looks always so chic. She's the master!:-)
Today I'm wearing my second most beloved colors ( after black, that is): gray and purple. I've never get enough of these colors. And I love my officer jakcet so much, it is piece of my clothing I'm wearing really often, even in summer, when the evenings are a bit cold. I also own this jacket in red:-)

Pogoda dziś nieciekawa, wietrzna i pochmurna. Postanowiłam rozjaśnić ten dzień bielą:-). Całość jest prosta- tank top, rurki, do tego duża marynarka z błyszczącą podszewką w paski. Uwielbiam zawijać rękawy, całość kojarzy mi się wtedy z zespołem Wham! i serialem Miami Vice;-). Jako dodatkowa plama koloru czarno-niebieska apaszka ze srebrną nitką. W związku z deszczem za oknem testowaliśmy dziś jako miejsce sesji klatkę schodową. Wolałabym plener, ale co zrobić.

The weather today is very windy and gloomy. I've tried to lighten up the day a bit by wearing white. The outfit is deliberately simple- tank top, skinny jeans, and the boyfriend's blazer with shiny striped undersize. I like to roll the sleeves up to show it. It reminds me of Wham! and the Miami Vice series;-). As an additional touch of color the black blue scarf with the silver thread. We've tested a staircase as a photoshoot location, since it's raining outside. I'd prefer to do it outside. Well, next time, I hope...

Rocker girl

Pogoda dziś bura i jesienna, postanowiłam więc wyciągnąć dziś z szafy wierną motocyklową skórę. Uwielbiam ją- jest duża, naturalnie zniszczona, jako że ma już swoje lata i pełna suwaków. Ostra, dokładnie jak trzeba:-). Nie jest to kurtka skórzana od Ricka Owensa, ale i tej nic nie brakuje, jak dla mnie:-). Fajnie jest, kiedy ubrania, które masz w szafie "od zawsze" nagle znów wpisują się w nowe trendy. Całe lata ubierałam się w takim rockowo-motocyklowym. Dorosłość przyniosła potrzebę nieco innego stylu, ale to wciąż jest coś, w czym dobrze się czuję. Uwielbiam czerń i szarości, a rurki noszę wiernie od lat 90-tych.

Because of the quite chilly weather I decided I would wear my trusty biker jacket today. I love it- it's so boyfriendly big, naturally distressed from its age, and full of zippers. Isn't it fierce? It's not the perfect Rick Owens biker jacket, but I think it's perfect nevertheless. I like it when the clothes you've had in your wadrobe for ages sudenly become trendy again. It was my style for many years. Being adult has brought the need of different style ( dress code), but I still feel it's me. I just love wearing blacks and grays, and I've been wearing skinnies since the 90s, when everybody else around me was wearing wide legs.

Hippie in the reed

Korzystając ze słonecznej pogody poszliśmy do pobliskiego parku nakarmić kaczki i łyski. Ptaki są tak rozpuszczone, że żebrzą wręcz o jedzenie. Na taką pogodę w sam raz okazała mi się hippisowska tunika, kojarząca mi się z bardzo ładną sukienką projektu Jovovich-Hawk, tyle że wadą tamtej jest słodka, pastelowa kolorystyka. Wolę ten deseń. Tunika jak to tunika, dość niedorzecznie krótka, co mogło zaowocować dość krępującą sceną a la Marylin Monroe w "Słomianym wdowcu", na szczęście jednak nie dałam się podmuchom wiatru;-). Pirackie kozaki należą do moich najukochańszych i najwygodniejszych butów. A że stopy mam od kilku dni okropnie zmasakrowane przez niewygodne buty, musiałam wybrać dziś takie, które nie dałyby mi się we znaki. Dla mnie te kozaki są odpowiednikiem trampków;-).

The Sunday afternoon was warm and sunny, so hubby and I went to the nearby park to feed the ducks and the coots swimming in the pond. The birds are so spoilt, they beg to be fed! The hippie-boho style was just right for such a lazy Sunday. It reminds me of the dress designed by Jovovich-Hawk duo, but I prefer the colours and pattern of my dress to pink and light blue pattern of theirs. The tunic is so ridiculously short, I was endangered by an embarassing wardrobe malfunction in style of Marylin Monroe in " The Seven Year Itch", but I was able to prevent it in the very last moment:-). The pirate boots are one of my most beloved and the most comfortable shoes. My feet are quite badly cut by the shoes I wore a few days ago, so those were a real blessing today. They are my version of comfy sneakers;-)

Black and white

Dzisiejszy zestaw, choć muszę się tu przyznać do małego oszustwa. Kiedy rano sprawdzałam, jaka jest pogoda było pochmurno i wiał chłodny wiatr. Uznałam, że przy takiej pogodzie spokojnie mogę założyć rajstopy i nowe botki. Botki to wina Gerladine Saglio z Paris Vogue, odkąd ją zobaczyłam w tego typu butach, nie zaznałam spokoju, aż jakichś nie kupiłam:-). Ale okazało się, że tak naprawdę jest duszno i dośc gorąco, więc wyszłam z domu bez rajstop i w czarnych balerinach.

Jako że to pierwsza nieśmiała próba opublikowania tu czegoś, proszę o wyrozumiałość:-). Już rozważam przeniesienie się z dalszymi sesjami na podwórko, będzie więcej przestrzeni.

My today's outfit but I must confess there was a little bit of cheating involved. When I checked on the weather this morning, the storm clouds were gathering and the wind was on the chilly side. I thought it might be weather for the tights and booties. I blame Geraldine Saglio from Paris Vogue for my craving for booties;-). She looks so gorgeous in hers.
But it occured to me when the session was still in progress that it is actually getting rather hot. The air is so stiff today. So when I went out, I was sans tights and booties- the latter ones replaced by simpe black flats.

There is a first and a bit insecure attempt to post something here, so please be a bit forgiving;-)
I think I will change the locations for the future sessions.
